EDMONTON, AUGUST 4th, 2020 – The ACFA is releasing its memo « Proposal for a Renewed Campus Saint-Jean within the U of A for Tomorrow restructuring initiative ». This memo was tabled last Wednesday to the two committees responsible for studying restructuring at the University of Alberta.
« Building on the consultations held as part of the Sommet sur l’éducation postsecondaire en français en Alberta in 2017 and the virtual townhall meetings last May, the ACFA is recommending a federated model for Campus Saint-Jean. This model would maintain a strong link with the University of Alberta while providing Campus Saint-Jean with more administrative and academic autonomy. With the recent developments, we are now seeking additional community input and collecting ideas and comments. I encourage you to read the memo and provide us with your ideas. » said ACFA President, Sheila Risbud.
The memo and the survey are available, in English and French, on the ACFA’s website by clicking here. Community members have until August 31, 2020 to submit their feedback.
Since 1926, the ACFA has been the voice of the French-speaking community in Alberta. Its role is to promote the interests of the latter and ensure its overall development.
