[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]\"\"[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]EDMONTON, AUGUST 4th<\/sup>, 2020 \u2013 The ACFA is releasing its memo \u00ab\u00a0Proposal for a Renewed Campus Saint-Jean within the\u00a0U of A for Tomorrow\u00a0<\/em>restructuring initiative\u00a0\u00bb. This memo was tabled last Wednesday to the two committees responsible for studying restructuring at the University of Alberta.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Building on the consultations held as part of the\u00a0Sommet sur l\u2019\u00e9ducation postsecondaire en fran\u00e7ais en Alberta<\/em>\u00a0in 2017 and the virtual townhall meetings last May, the ACFA is recommending a federated model for Campus Saint-Jean. This model would maintain a strong link with the University of Alberta while providing Campus Saint-Jean with more administrative and academic autonomy. With the recent developments, we are now seeking additional community input and collecting ideas and comments. I encourage you to read the memo and provide us with your ideas.\u00a0\u00bb said ACFA President, Sheila Risbud.<\/p>\n

The memo and the survey are available, in English and French, on the ACFA\u2019s website by clicking\u00a0here<\/a><\/strong>. Community members have until August 31, 2020 to submit their feedback.<\/p>\n

Since 1926, the ACFA has been the voice of the French-speaking community in Alberta. Its role is to promote the interests of the latter and ensure its overall development.<\/em><\/p>\n
